Dynamics Great Plains overview

Summary view of the Dynamics Great Plains connection flow and available support

You can share your financial data from this integration using the Intelligent upload method. To do so, click the data sharing link you received via email to open the connection flow. Next, select your accounting software from the list. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to run, download, and share reports. We summarized these steps below.

Upload bills

Supported file formats: XLS, CSV

  1. Open SmartList by clicking Microsoft Dynamics GP → SmartList (or press Alt + R).
  2. Expand Purchasing and click Payables Transactions.
  3. Click the asterisk (*****) to show all transactions.
  4. Click Search to filter the list.
  5. Set Document Type to Invoice.
  6. (Optional) Add additional filters such as Document Date (date range) or Vendor ID.
  7. Click Columns to add useful fields, such as Voucher Number, Document Number, Vendor ID, Document Date, Amount, or Distributions (for cost details).
  8. Click the Excel button in the toolbar to export.
  9. Choose where to save the file and click Save.
  10. Upload the file using the link provided to you.

Upload suppliers

Supported file formats: XLS, CSV

  1. Open SmartList by clicking Microsoft Dynamics GP → SmartList (or press Alt + R).
  2. Expand Purchasing and click Vendors.
  3. Click the asterisk (*****) to show all vendors.
  4. (Optional) Add columns if needed, such as Vendor ID, Name, Address, or Phone.
  5. Click the Excel button in the toolbar to export.
  6. Choose where to save the file and click Save.
  7. Upload the file using the link provided to you.

Upload payments

Supported file formats: XLS, CSV

  1. Open SmartList by clicking Microsoft Dynamics GP → SmartList (or press Alt + R).
  2. Expand Purchasing and click Payables Transactions.
  3. Click the asterisk (*****) to show all transactions.
  4. Click Search to set filters.
  5. Set Document Type to Payment (or Check / Manual Payment if preferred).
  6. (Optional) Add additional filters such as Document Date (date range) or Vendor ID.
  7. Click Columns and add fields such as Payment Number, Document Date, Amount, Vendor ID, and Checkbook ID.
  8. Click the Excel button in the toolbar to export.
  9. Choose where to save the file and click Save.
  10. Upload the file using the link provided to you.

Upload expenses

Supported file formats: XLS, CSV

  1. Open SmartList by clicking Microsoft Dynamics GP → SmartList (or press Alt + R).
  2. Expand Purchasing and click Payables Transactions.
  3. Click the asterisk (*****) to show all data.
  4. Click Search and filter as needed.
  5. Set Document Type to Invoice (or select All to include all transaction types).
  6. (Optional) Add filters such as Distribution Account (for specific cost accounts) or Document Date.
  7. Click Columns and add details such as Distribution Account, Debit Amount, Credit Amount, Tax Amount, Batch ID, Posting Date, Document Number, and Vendor ID.
  8. Click the Excel button in the toolbar to export.
  9. Choose where to save the file and click Save.
  10. Upload the file using the link provided to you.
