Dynamics 365 Business Central file upload

Share your Dynamics 365 Business Central data by exporting and uploading a file

You can share your financial data from this integration using the Intelligent upload method. To do so, click the data sharing link you received via email to open the connection flow. Next, select your accounting software from the list. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to run, download, and share reports. We summarized these steps below.

Upload suppliers

Supported file formats: XLSX, XLS

1. Select the Search icon and type Vendors.
2. Open the Vendors list page.
3. In the command bar, choose Share → Open in Excel.
4. Business Central prepares an .xlsx workbook and downloads it automatically. Save the file without editing.
5. Upload the file using the link provided to you.

Upload bills

Supported file formats: XLSX, XLS

1. Select the Search icon and type Posted Purchase Invoices.
2. Open the Posted Purchase Invoices list page.
3. (On-premise only) In the filter pane, set Posting Date to the last 12 months.
4. Choose Share → Open in Excel to generate the export.
5. Save the downloaded file.
6. Upload the file using the link provided to you.

Upload payments

Supported file formats: XLSX, XLS

1. Select the Search icon and type Vendor Ledger Entries.
2. Open the Vendor Ledger Entries page.
3. (Optional) Add the Document Type and Applies-to Doc. No. fields via Personalise so each payment can be mapped to the correct invoice.
4. (On-premise only) In the filter pane, set Posting Date to the last 12 months and Document Type to Payment.
5. Choose Share → Open in Excel.
6. Save the exported file.
7. Upload the file using the link provided to you.

Upload expenses

Supported file formats: XLSX, XLS

1. Select the Search icon and type General Ledger Entries.
2. Open the General Ledger Entries page.
3. Filter Account Type to Vendor.
4. (On-premise only) Add a filter on Payment Method Code to include bank transfers, card payments, or other direct-cost methods as required.
5. Choose Share → Open in Excel to export.
6. Save the downloaded file.
7. Upload the file using the link provided to you.
